Will underpinning disrupt my utilities or landscaping?

Interior underpinning of a basement wall generally does not disturb exterior landscaping because the work is conducted entirely from within the basement. Exterior helical pier installation requires small excavations at the foundation perimeter, approximately three feet by three feet per pier, and topsoil is restored at project completion.

Utility lines, residual oil tanks common in older New Jersey homes, and septic components are located and protected before excavation begins. We coordinate New Jersey One Call markouts as standard practice.
