What slope should a pool deck have away from the pool?

Pool decks should slope a minimum of 1/8 inch per foot away from the pool edge to direct water to perimeter drains or lawn areas. After leveling Scaldino technicians verify the restored slope with a level to confirm positive drainage. If the original deck was not poured with adequate slope, leveling can partially correct this but cannot add slope that was never built in.
