Exact color matching of patched areas to weathered existing concrete is difficult and cannot be guaranteed. New repair mortar is typically lighter than aged concrete and will stand out initially. Over time weathering closes the color gap. For appearance-critical surfaces Scaldino can discuss integral colorants or surface sealers that help blend the repair area with the surrounding concrete.
