Mudjacking Service Area and Equipment
Both mudjacking and polyjacking fill a sub-base void and use the resulting pressure to raise the slab. The material properties differ significantly. Mudjacking slurry adds approximately 100 pounds per cubic foot to the sub-base, requires 24 to 48 hours to cure before vehicle traffic, and is injected through ports roughly two inches in diameter. Polyurethane foam adds two to four pounds per cubic foot, achieves full strength in under 30 minutes, and is injected through five-eighths inch ports. For projects where the sub-base is stable, the slab is large, and downtime is acceptable, mudjacking delivers a durable lift at lower material cost.
