What is bench footing in floor lowering?

Bench footing is an engineering method used during floor lowering where we create stepped concrete supports along the perimeter of the foundation walls. These benches transfer the weight of the walls to the new, lower floor level. This technique allows us to safely lower the floor without undermining the existing foundation, maintaining full structural integrity.
